Consignment Information
At Femelle Bridal, we’re all about cultivating relationships. We serve as a bridge between our bride and our consignor, by facilitating the wedding dress shopping experience between parties, with the same shared interest: saying “yes!”…to the dress.

Mutual Benefits of Being Both a Femelle Bride and a Femelle Consignor:
- Your wallet: money saved and money earned.
- Environmentally friendly: one less wedding dress in circulation.
- Keeping your money local: dollars that are recycled back into the local economy.
- Supporting a small female-owned business: yay sisterhood!
- No awkward public meetups or strangers entering your home to try on and purchase a wedding dress.
- No certainty of buying and selling your gown on an online marketplace: sight-unseen purchases resulting in buyer regret or unwanted seller returns.
- Creating memories: buying and selling a wedding dress online doesn’t offer the emotional backdrop of creating lifelong memories with loved ones.
Consignment Policies / F&Qs
Why should I consign my wedding dress with Femelle Bridal?
We do the work for you! We free up space in your closet, advertise your gown on our website and social media, schedule appointments with interested brides, assist brides in selecting, styling, and loving your gown in anticipation of a “Yes!”…to your dress!
What do you look for in a consignment wedding dress?
We look for dresses that are new or very gently used with minimal alterations (We can not accept dresses hemmed to fit a bride 5’5 or shorter). Our preference is ‘new with tags’ and completely unaltered. Dresses that are 3-4 years old are given preference, but we will happily consider older gowns provided they meet our brand aesthetic and are trending with our brides. Dresses must also be clean, with no strong odors, pressed/steamed and in otherwise ‘ready-to-sell’ condition (We offer limited pressing and steaming services starting at $30 per dress depending on the fabric, size, layers of fabric, pleats, girth and length etc).
Do you also consign bridal accessories?
Yes! We follow the same guidelines with bridal accessories: new or like new, in great condition, is consistent with our brand aesthetic, and originally retailed for $100 or more.
What are the benefits of purchasing a Femelle consignment wedding dress?
There are many benefits to purchasing a consignment wedding dress. For starters, you can save anywhere between 20-75% off the original retail price (That could mean a savings of $50 – $2,000!). Buying a gown on consignment is environmentally-friendly, as it keeps yet another gown from being put into circulation. Also, you’re able to take your beautiful dress home with you that day and you’re supporting a local female-owned business!!!
Is there a fee to consign and how much does Femelle Bridal earn from the sale of my items?
We charge a $20 fee to process 1 (one) item and $10 each for any additional items (That includes time to research, inspect, administratively process, physically prepare, and to list your items online/social media). We share the final sale price 50/50.
How do you determine the selling price of my gown?
We consider the condition of the dress, alterations, age, style, designer, and your documented purchase price to mutually agree upon a selling price. We offer our brides a discount anywhere between 20-75% off the original retail price, with older gowns being discounted more with an increase in age.
Will my wedding dress and accessories be treated and handled with care?
Absolutely! We keep our salon very clean and adhere to quality control policies that clients are required to agree to before making appointments. We promise to handle your property with the same care and respect we treat our own in-house l’atelier marla designer gowns.
Are there any bridal items you definitely do not consign?
While we are happy to consign a select few David’s Bridal merchandise, we do not consign June Bridals, JJ House, Lulus, Azazie or Amazon merchandise. Also, a good rule-of-thumb to consider before consigning, is to ask yourself: would I want to wear this on my wedding day?
